Industrial Maintenance & Rope Access Technician

Job Purpose:

To safely perform industrial maintenance, inspection, and repair tasks using rope access techniques on client assets, ensuring compliance with Megarme’s safety standards, client procedures, and applicable codes and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Rope Access & Work-at-Height Carry out rope access operations in line with IRATA standards and client HSE requirements.

Set up, inspect, and maintain rope access systems, anchors, rigging, and fall-protection equipment.

Access difficult-to-reach areas on structures such as platforms, vessels, towers, facades, bridges, and pipelines.

Ensure all rope access equipment is inspected, tagged, and stored correctly.

Industrial Maintenance & Mechanical Work
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, structural, and auxiliary systems.

Carry out tasks such as:

Bolt torquing and tensioning

Component replacement (valves, flanges, gaskets, small pumps, etc.)

Basic fabrication, grinding, cutting, and drilling

Lubrication, alignment checks, and minor adjustments

Use hand tools, power tools, torque wrenches, and precision instruments safely and correctly.

Support installation and removal of temporary works, scaffolding components, and access systems as required.

Inspection & NDT Support:

Assist in visual inspections of structures, pipelines, tanks, and equipment.

Support NDT technicians in activities such as:

Ultrasonic Testing (UT)

Magnetic Particle Testing (MT)

Dye Penetrant Testing (PT)

Visual Testing (VT)

Help prepare surfaces for inspection (cleaning, degreasing, light grinding, etc.).

Record basic inspection data and assist in completing checklists and job cards.
